My name is Yue I’m an Herbalist of the swamp and the Shaman from it. I have been doing many investigations around the EK and in these, I was able to recapitulate information from different Herbs, seeds, and plats from this vast Kingdom, most of them were seen by me others were described by the local villagers, and even got some from documents. This book intends to be a guide for future herbalists and Shamans to know the uses of these herbs in our Kingdom.

«Edible»

Acorn- A hard tree nut.

Amber Leaf- Usually given to nobles, this plant is a giant leaf that’s known to have golden flakes on it. It does nothing for taste but it makes them feel rich and important

Apple- Sweet, cultivated fruit.

Blunder berries- Grows in the wild forests of Senlin and used for Blunder pies and fruit cakes.

Cabbage- Cultivated leafy vegetable.

Chili pepper- Spicy, colorful fruits.

Cucumber

Daikon radish

Eggplant

Ginger root- Used to make tea.

Hikari Fruit- A fruit native to the southernmost part of the The Earth Kingdom is grown on bushes around watering holes/ bodies of water. The fruit is sweet, with a peel like an orange.

Jasmine- Flower used to make tea.

Ji-Lu herb- A common spice found outside of Matsu Village Great for spicing up stews and meats. It tastes like spring onions.

Lettuce- Cultivated leafy vegetable.

Lychee nut- A small, reddish-brown nut notable for its taste and abundance.

Mango- Cultivated, sweet, orange-red fruit, sometimes made into a beverage.

Moon Peach- Sweet, pale round fruit.

Papaya- Waxy, orange fruit.

Peanut- A small legume that can be made into a sauce.

Pear

Plum blossom- Cultivated for its fruits and flowers.

Pumpkin- Can be found commonly in the swamp, and their seeds can be eaten as a tasty snack.

Rice- Cultivated white grain.

Scallion

Soy- Made into a sauce and tofu.

Starpoppy seed- A cross between a starflower seed and poppy seed that is sprinkled onto food.

Stone Coral- Can be sliced and dehydrated as a tasty snack

Taro

The Jakobis tea plant- Found near Saiko Village. The leaves of the Jakobis plant can be used for tea that is commonly drunk by the Earth King Jakob.

Watermelon- Sweet, juicy melon.

White dragon bush- A plant with red-white flowers, famed for the tea made with its leaves and flowers.

«Harmful»

Ash Leaves- Found in the remains of the burned-down forest in Senlin. If eaten the person will get dizzy and ill. As the years go on and the forest regrows ash leaves are becoming uncommon in the area.

Blue Nightshade- A special variant of the nightshade family, Blue Nightshade is toxic and extremely dangerous. It is distinguished by the blue tint around the leaves. That is the only mark that separates this plant from its other killer plant cousins. Unlike normal Nightshade, this variant takes days to kill, slowly depriving you of your nutrition and causing symptoms like tightness in your neck, inability to breathe, lockjaw, and other painful, rabies-like symptoms. If not treated within 2-6 hours of exposure, this usually means certain death.

Ivy Thrones- Vines that grow through thick forests with sharp thrones. Best not be pricked by one or you may die from the poison.

Laon flower- While beautiful, if eaten or touched can cause delirium, sickness, and eventually death if these effects go untreated.

Maka’ole berry- A berry that causes blindness, very similar in appearance to the bacui berry.

Shui Blossom - Named after the queen of the Earth Kingdom, poisonous if eaten uncooked, pale green color flower.

White jade bush- A poisonous plant with red-white petals that causes rashes if consumed; it can even be fatal if not treated.

Wolf Bite- The white petals of the Wolf Bite Flower resembles a fang of a wolf. If eaten the person can be thrown into a fever, and have painful hives that feel like a wolf is biting you.

Golden Algae- Gives off a poisonous gas where its planted but if plucked and used correctly it can be made into a sort of energy drink.

«Healing»

Bacui berry- A berry known to cure the poison of the white jade plant.

Banana leaf- Used as medicine.

Baos flower- Named after the man who discovered it, the bao flower is used in tea and healing baths to treat common cold symptoms.

Bear leaf- Large strong leaves that can be used as bandages, also can be ground and used to treat infections.

Blood Ferns- The cure to Ivy Thrones, maroon-colored plants found within thick forests can be boiled to make a tea that is bitter to the taste.

Calusi Branch- Used in spas to remove calluses from the skin.

Mud Leaf- A brown leaf that grows near rivers, lakes, and mostly swamps that can be ground into a healing powder or paste.

Sandalwood- Aromatic plant, used as medicine.

Seaweed- Kind of algae, frozen can be used to cure the Swamp Sickness and can be used for lotions.

Swamp Moss- Used to heal burns and rashes.

«Others»

Amantha Tree- Rare trees only found on Kyoshi Island. Their flowers are used for decoration but the nuts are a food loved by frog and squirrels.

Bangu Crystal- This plant gives off an effect like crystal or stained glass when the sun hits it. It’s commonly planted or potted in noble homes.

Banyan-grove tree- A tree that encompasses and is the heart of the Foggy Swamp.

Barrel cactus- A type of cactus.

Bright Eyes- Typically mixed in with a tea to give miners a temporary “enhanced” vision that allows them to see in the dark.

Cactus- A spiky, juice-filled plant found in deserts; its juice causes hallucinations when consumed.

Cave Moss- Grown in caves and used to keep herbs moist.

Chochi- A small succulent that is very commonly grown in the southern regions. It’s known to be ground up and used for hair care among the Earth Kingdom women and sometimes men.

Crystal Lillies- Named because of their bright coloring and thin petals that allow light to pass through. They grow in caves with little to no sunlight and can be used in tea but mostly for decoration.

Dumanee- Used in the sandy areas of the Earth Kingdom. Scrape the leaves to reveal and eye-safe paste that you can place over your eyes to keep them from drying or removing sand.

Hyunga Flower- Sought after by brides for its beauty and worn in their hair.

Kai berries- Used in most alcoholic drinks in the upper ring of Ba Sing Se. It’s very sweet.

Kyoshi Petals- Grown on Kyoshi Island, the Kyoshi Petals are white with red tips. It is mainly used for the makeup used for the Kyoshi Warriors. The white for the face, and the red tips for the eye shadow and lips.

Lavender- Fragrant herb used to make scented soap.

Moon peach bloosom- A flower that normally blooms in the spring, and it’s usually worn.

Moonflower- A white flower that grows best in partial shade.

Panda lily- Rare black and white flower found only on the rims of volcanoes. Commonly proffered as an expression of love.

Pica berries- Grown on a floral bush with orange flowers known as “picalusia”. The flowers aren’t used for anything but the berries give energy boosts.

Silver lily- A white flower that grows only in a specific area of the southern Earth Kingdom.

Singing reeds- Tall reeds with small holes in them that grow near ponds and whistle when the wind blows through them.

Snatch Leaf- A beautiful orchid that can be used for decor, a garnish for many earth kingdom foods, and it is often used to heal the poisons of the Laon flower.

Stone berries- Hard and bitter, also poisonous to humans but a delicacy to badgermoles.

Sunflower- Bright yellow, cultivated flower, that can be worn in the hair of the women in the Earth Kingdom, but in the swamp, the Sunflowers seeds are a common snack.

Wan Shi Desert Flower- Black and white flower. Myth is that if you’ve found the flower you’re close to his library.

As we can appreciate the Earth Kingdom is the biggest region in our world and it has so many varieties of plants, fruits, vegetables, seeds, and herbs. These contain many properties that can make them harmful, edible, or even with the capacity to be used as medicine. I believe it’s important to know this information, as it can help to save many lives, In the year when the book was written the year 128 many uses for this herbs can still be discovered, and even new herbs can be found, so this book might have other parts and future updates in the future. I’m looking forward to making more investigations in other regions of our world to collect this information and guide our future generations of Shamans and Herbalists.
